Bachelor of Science with Honours (Genetics) at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia is a four-year undergraduate programme that provides comprehensive education in the principles of heredity and molecular biology. The curriculum covers core areas such as molecular genetics, cytogenetics, genomics, population genetics and biotechnology, supported by laboratory-based training and analytical techniques.

The programme emphasises the study of gene structure, function and regulation, as well as genetic variation and its applications in medicine, agriculture and biotechnology. Students are required to complete a final-year research project to develop independent scientific investigation skills.

Graduates are prepared for careers in biotechnology, biomedical research, genetic laboratories, agriculture and related industries, and may pursue postgraduate studies in genetics or allied life sciences.
